Trust and verification
What each verification level actually means, so a badge is never taken on faith.
Contact verification
Phone and email are confirmed with a one-time code before an account becomes active. This is the minimum for any profile to be published.
Photo verification
Uploaded photos are held in private storage and reviewed before publication. A profile with no approved photo is not shown as photo-verified.
Document verification
Government ID, education and employment documents can be submitted for review. They are stored privately, are never publicly addressable, and are only opened by a reviewer holding the specific permission to do so.
Face and liveness checks
Biometric verification is deliberately the last capability we are building. It involves the most sensitive data on the platform, and the retention and consent rules are being settled before any model touches a face.
